Welcome to South Pointe High School. Our school is a place where excellence, innovation, and opportunity guide the student experience. It is an honor to serve a community committed to strong academics, personal growth, and meaningful engagement.

South Pointe is strengthened by a diverse student body, dedicated staff, and a tradition of preparing students for success in college, military service, and professional careers.

My career in education has centered on expanding access to high-quality programs, supporting school leadership, and securing funding for innovation. As an assistant superintendent, I helped obtain significant grant funding and led districtwide instructional and leadership initiatives. I also served in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where I supported large and diverse school communities.

I hold a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Augustine’s College.

South Pointe’s STEAM designation, participation in national school improvement networks, and partnerships with institutions such as Winthrop University reflect our commitment to excellence. Students benefit from rigorous academic opportunities that include Advanced Placement, dual-credit courses, and Project Lead the Way.
