NCAA Eligibility
Students who plan to play college sports at an NCAA Division I or II school must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Plan to register during your freshman year of high school so your courses and grades meet NCAA requirements.
How to Get Started
Visit the NCAA Eligibility Center and choose the type of account that matches your goals:
- Profile Page Account
If you plan to compete at an NCAA Division III school or are currently unsure of your division, start with a Profile Page.
You can later upgrade to a Certification Account if you choose Division I or II. - Certification Account
Required for Division I or II athletes.
This account must be completed before you can:- Take official college visits
- Sign a National Letter of Intent
- Be declared eligible to compete
Registration Tips
- Allow 30–45 minutes to complete your Certification Account.
- You can save and return later if you need more time.
- Accounts that are not completed (fee not paid or no fee waiver submitted) will be deleted after 30 days.
- Ask your counselor if you qualify for a fee waiver.
