Statistics show that car crashes are the number one cause of death for young people between the ages of 15 and 24. Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, Northwestern, Rock Hill, and South Pointe require all students who wished to purchase a pass to park vehicles on their school campuses or the Applied Technology Center (ATC) campus, to complete the 4 ½ hour safe-driving course. All students must complete the course prior to receiving a parking pass.
